Yes Ford needs to do more in the car market. Future looks good though with the upcoming F150 Lightning EV and the new small Maverick truck. 70% of people reserving the new Lightning have never bought a Ford truck before. Fords the leader in truck sales plus they have a decent market in SUVs, transit, etc.

I saw one of those electric mustang whatchamacallits the other day on the road, so strange.

 

Not a bad looking EV but calling it a Mustang is an absolute gimmick for sales that I don’t think is working, that’s no Mustang.

 

I like what they're doing, i just think they're making too big a jump out of nowhere. Seems every american auto is going straight from shitty marketing making turbos sound significantly green (ecoboost) to electric in one big swoop and trashing legends, legacy vehicles, and possibly reputations in the process. Meanwhile foreign autos make completely different models for electric and serious hybrids, and slowly transition their cars from gas to hybrid to electric without ruining the fundamentals of their reputations. Too big a bet to make for us autos imo

That's why I always fly Delta (and the local hub deal), haha... When I lived in downtown Atlanta and was flying more regularly, I could book an 8:45 am flight, drop my kid off at school, get to the airport at 7:45, use Clear and precheck, walk right on the plane, attend meeting wherever, fly home and be pretty confident that I'd land in time to walk right off, grab my car, and pick him up from afterschool.

Always carry on only for business trips, but when we vacation coming back to ATL is so nice, always straight to the gate, deplane right away, and by the time we make it to baggage claim bags are already on the carousel.

 

Guess I really shouldn't have gone against the coin toss. This is painful. lol
