I don't have any money in my entire RH account I can't afford to lose. I only put $10 in. Currently at $40, although half is in safe stuff. The other is riding AMC and holding for buying power.

I just harp on the gambling / chances of losing thing since there's so much "to the moon" stuff out there that it's easy for folks new to the market to lose their heads... and potentially a lot more.

Yeah, I can't believe how much some people have into it. But I hope to be there some day, all off of the money I'm not relying on.

 

It's all relative. If someone has 1,000, 20 bucks isn't a big risk.

If you have a million, 20,000 is the same as 20 bucks to that guy with a grand as a percentage of wealth.

Numbers are important, but so are percentages.

 

Latest Robinhood news limits GME to 2 shares/10 contracts. Think it was 5 this morning.

 

My brother said GME was unavailable to him an hour ago.

 

They've got liquidity problems. I guarantee it. The upward price pressure is sending RH's risk-management arm into a goddam conniption.

 

For sure. The way I see it, this is my recreational money. My 403B, etc. are all safe and not being touched

Meh. College is overrated. Great for some folks, for others with different talents the better choice is often a trade school or apprenticeship. I'm a big fan of Mike Rowe.
