    Same. My grandmother passed away a couple years ago and because of Alzheimer’s and dementia her last few years were tough. Very sad.

    Likewise. It was the weirdest thing to not have someone you've known your entire life recognize you. She asked my GF once if she was the one with the baby. The one she was confused about was my sister. The baby was her great-granddaughter. That was rough just to witness that.

    The most heartbreaking was to be stuck in a 20-30 minute conversational loop of the same topics, and knowing they have no clue they asked you that 3 more times in the last hour.
