Margin is basically a loan from your broker. It has interest costs and maintenance costs, and those costs scale to what you're buying. One bad day in the market can wipe you out. To zero.

What I'm really, really, (and I'll say again), really worried about is that they'll pull some bullshit fuckery when I want to cash out at $5k a share and there's an "error"

 

i think NOK @ $4 is reasonable...they've got 5G potential.
i got burned a lil while back on NOK, so i'm over it.
NOK long is a good bent.

remember this is a company that actually has positive earnings per share....their 200 day simple moving average is like $4.20
So at the current price I don’t feel too bad holding.

my average is $5.5 and maybe it takes another surge or maybe I hold until the 5G tech starts running it up....either way I don’t think I’ll loose sleep over it.

 

I'm on there because my Dad was with them for 30+ years. When he passed away, our assigned financial advisor there was super super helpful in getting us sorted out and Mom up to speed. So far I'm quite happy with my own experience there.

Also they have delicious cookies at their office.

 

I told them yesterday to take the margin off all 3 of my accounts when they started making crazy margin rules for these stocks

margin is a great tool if you have lots of cash to cover you for a margin call but for me it’s just stressful at this point in time lol

 

it's good in certain situations...but can go south really quick.

 

They just released news of their 5G modem. I'm long for as long as it takes for them to turn back into a money making machine. They are a lot different then most WSB stock so I really don't know how they got lumped in with them. I have shares and options for more shares. They release earnings on the 4th after hours so mark the calendar. Here's proof they ain't a joke.

I did the same earlier today. Put enough money into all my margin brokerages to cover and then turned off margin trading. I'm not leaving anything to chance.

 

Hint: Cheap stock price and "new technology"

NOK was a pretty good dividend play with upside potential on account of 5G.
They tanked hard and suspended their divy...
i think the 5G stuff is now within reach so they're in a better spot and looking better... do your own research.

 

They've been a meme for a while, that makes a lot of sense.

 

One thing is they have less than like 2% shares shorted and I knew that going in.
