those limits are total though. You can only buy 5 more GME calls - period. Not 5 then execute and 5 more. 5 more ever.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for good stock simulators? All the ones I've found so far are basic buy and sell with limit orders. They either don't allow options or they require you to upgrade

Ah okay I was misreading how aggregate limits were applied.

in either way. F robinhood. It shouldn’t be confusing of how much and what and when you can buy it.

Well that blows. Have you used the other options on that list?

edit you could just try by putting them into yahoo portfolios and using today’s asks and keeping track of it over time
    That way.

And that applies to most specialists. It's not that their specialty is particularly hard, it's that most people don't want to put the time and effort into learning just how simple it is.

I've seen people pay a mechanic multiple times to fix an issue and fail. They take it to another one and he fixes it in 5 minutes. Patients go to doctors for years without success, only to switch doctors and have their problems fixed in a single visit. Specialist doesn't mean good, it just means they did what ever work was required to be called a specialist. Most problems in life can be solved without a specialist, but then again I've seen adults who I am pretty sure have their parents tie their shoes in the morning.

Can I learn with YOUR money? :D

It's kind of true. most companies only have so many shares. Adding more reduces the value of those already out there and is usually done when the ones already out there are worthless and you need more money.

The excuse Robinhood gave is that they personally had insufficient funds to cover the amount of shares people were trying to buy. Theoretically it could be true. They can't instantly get the money from your account to cover your purchases, so they cover it with their own money during that delay. I'd be more likely to believe it if more and more of them weren't doing the same thing.

You've mistaken me for replying to something else. I was referencing TreeFortRichard's post about there possibly being a mega large number of failure to delivers in GME in the system. This is a pretty good primer on where that WTF could be going in this current mix:

    https://youtu.be/JKc0KQvvfWE?t=107

Robinhood's liquidity issue I am well aware of.
