Silver is a distraction.

 

Yes. But it is a safe investment. You buy it on the low swings because it is virtually guaranteed to swing up. You don't short it for the same reason. You short companies that you think you can bankrupt. You're never going to bankrupt silver.

Hedge funds selling off some of their holdings to cover buying the shorts that are being called in is giving the illusion of a short. This drives the price up, then they sell the rest of their shares and reduce their losses on GME using the same people that screwed them to do it.

 

Not possible really. The supply is unlimited.

And to further this. Since it is NOT a short, the hedge funds will never have to buy back shares. You'll inflate the value, they'll sell off their shares, and you'll be left with an overvalued stock that has nowhere to go but down.
