Having recently come off a 30 day vacation (didn’t hurt I was able to lose money in stonks on my own), I can attest there is no immunity. Tried to help a TW member by posting a screenshot with part number and price I paid. He told me the cost was now higher as well as shipping. I thereafter invoked a popular meme in the current inflation and economy. Suffice it to say some mods are on a hair trigger lol. You can tell who they are since they dominate the banned thread as of late. Fair enough, didn’t know memes without real political names were banned, now I do.

 

I got zapped for mentioning something that nobody in their right mind would have taken politically for a 30, then I tried to make a second account to ask, "wtf?" then I got zapped permanently. Luckily Bob is a generous forum god and let me back in after a few months.

I think Bob’s a decent and generally fair guy as well. Someone posted a thread with the headline of a political bill saying all the great things it would do for EVs and the mods didn’t blink an eye all day (I was banned about two minutes after my post). I messaged bob not asking for a ban on the poster but for the thread to not be allowed - it was clearly pure politics. Thread was locked down the next day. No politics is a rule and I understand (though it would be fun to have a dungeon thread where it’s allowed). Mods need to be fair on handing out 30 days passes though and not let their own political bias affect how they enforce. I said as much in my message to Bob.

Back to stonks, this was a good week for me, IRA up $20k from last friday’s close. Still off $15k from my ATH of a few weeks back though. I’ll take it and hope markets close out the year on a green note.
