I bought a few calls today -- well I guess it was technically yesterday, but I'm not feeling super confident for next week. Holiday week, and the market is wayyy overdue for a correction. On Monday if I break even on any of them I think I'm going to cash out and sit until mid Jan and see what's going on.

    upload_2020-11-21_2-44-4.jpg

I tried to roll the dice for a third time on COTY and it's gonna bone me this go around. My lowly PLTR call will probably do ok

I've got a grand into those GE $10c. That's the one I'm keeping an eye on, and I've got a few months to make some money.

Not feeling good about those 12/18 PFE calls either...

This, however, makes me happy, on my mutual fund account.

I cashed out a bunch of calls yesterday.
Those NIO NOV 18 $28 calls did very well at 320% gains.
I got rid of all my CRSR DEC 18 $25 calls for 205% gains.
Cashed out 4 of my 10 XPEV DEC 18 $40 calls when they where over 200% mid-day. That paid for the other 6 and left me 1K in profit on top of it. The other 6 are free money and I will let them ride through the upcoming turmoil.
I lost 48% on AAPL calls.
I barely broke even on TXN calls.

I picked up some NVDA DEC $530 calls. I think there will be a rotation back into tech as this latest Covid surge gets worse.
I'm still holding PEIX shares, that I'm down 40% on, in both my IRA and play account. A surge should also help them recoup some losses.
I'm still holding NAIL in my IRA. I write monthly covered calls on those.

I have the same thought as you. I think the markets will decline with lack of stimulus and Covid surge. How much is the question. Until further notice I'm 75% cash in all my accounts. Now, I just wait on Monday. lol

Yah so my assessment of this week's market has so far laughed in my face this morning. This kind of growth is unsustainable. Wtf is propping this market up

LMAO. I made the mistake of doing something I never do. Looking at the price of an option that I traded out of. CRSR is killing me. It's 25% higher then it's highest 12 month forecast. I can't believe it's still running.

If I had put 200k in PLTR or CRSR when I first started on them I'd be retired right now lol

Nope. Speaking of that. Remember those XPEV DEC $40 calls I sold 4 out of 10 to cover initial costs? Yeah, those other 6 free money calls are at 450% gains. XPEV went up 34% today and is up another 3.5% after hours. I don't know what the hell is going on but I feel like I should GTFO.

I don't mention actual dollar figures much in this thread because to me it's all about %. I'll break that rule hear. I have $3465 in option that are now worth $19665. Keep in mind I sold 4 when it was up 200%. That covered these and left me with 1Kish profit. So these are truly free money. If they hit 500% tomorrow I'm out. lol

Hella! Make that scratch. My COTY 3rd roll of the dice started to print today. Closed out some stagnant SPPI calls and bought PLTR at open. PFE is still probably going to screw me. Other than that I've trimmed all the dead weight and everything is in the green.

I could really use GE going up another buck and I'll dump those calls and roll them into PLTR as well. I honestly think PLTR is hitting $100 by the end of next year.

If it 10x since IPO in a year that would be incredibly impressive. It's got a lot of volume and looking at the 3 month daily chart there are no gaps. At only 12% institutional ownership I think it will get a bump from fund managers at some point. Think of CRSR at 91% institutional ownership and that's still running. I don't know what's propping these valuations up but they seem to be holding. For now. lol

    One word bois: GAINZ

I'm out. Sold everything green except one last PLTR call.

Pltr should cool off this week (please please please) and then I'm going in heavy on shares.

BOIL I traded 11/20 options like a maniac last week. So I made money in both directions but figured rather than to buy to close on some taller put contracts - I took delivery on said put contracts that I original sold for good money. ( IPE - That basically means without counting the premium I overpaid at my strike price at the end of the week!) I figure I will just tie the money up and go long. Well BOIL immediately shot past that this so AM SELL. WOW. NOT one trade went red. Frankly amazing. Crazy but good shit. I need a shower.

... yeah, think there will be a nice economy dip to buy low for long holds.

I know there will be. But why May time frame? And with even the level of certainty why not make some money now and then go inverse funds/short at some point?

How do you go into cash without a crazy tax bill? I’ve been holding for years, I couldn’t imagine paying taxes on unrealized gains. I’d need another job or three for the tax bill!

Haha ...yeah should clarify just holding cash on positions that sold already with set sell margin. In ira and took loss on stock ..it was one of the few that never came back to pre march value. But great point on taxes.

Why May ? ...no reason, just see how things look then.
