I tried to use a sick day recently out of spite and my boss refused to let me use it.
“Well since you can’t tell me how you’re sick I can’t let you use it.”

I emailed his boss and asked him what he’d prefer, me to stay and do no work out of spite or let me go home.

Was very satisfying to have my boss come over and tell me “he” had decided to approve my sick time. Some funny shit.
