You guys seen this super heavy anti-NFT push in the gaming media this week?

Oh, the head of EA or Activision or any number of shitty publishers thinks NFT is "unnecessary" or "a distraction"?

That's so odd coming from the entities that currently have a monopoly over the "marketplaces" within their titles where they sell you content as part of a unidirectional flow of cash.

What possible motivations could they have to poo poo a secondhand marketplace within their platforms?

Are there any other entities, possibly in other industries that might benefit from amplifying just such a message?

It's just all so weird and I can't seem to put my finger on it...

My Christmas mood at the moment. Tuesday Airplane and then family. Dodged them for 2 years, ran out of excuses.

My dad's pretty cool though. We'll go duck hunting and then up to the shellfish farm to pick up oysters/clams/mussels

2lb live lobsters for Xmas eve and prime rib for Xmas dinner.

I've got the in-laws arriving from Australia on Wednesday. My wife is super close with her family and not seeing them for two years has been tough for her. I'm sweating bullets that no new international travel restrictions pop up in the next 3 days. Once their actually on the plane I'll be able to relax.

 

I was hoping I'd fly chartered courtesy of GME but Cohen doesn't think I need to be rich yet apparently.

Just watched the replay of Woodley getting KO'd. Boxing 101. What do you do when your opponent keeps dropping his left hand? Hit him with a right cross. One of the better boxing KOs I've seen.

Apparently not. That left hand wasn't dropping to his chin. It was dropping to his ribs. And he wasn't trying to protect from body shots. He just has shit form. I'd like to see that rematch in a UFC cage.

 

Yea, completely different sports really. But no boxer with even a 1/4 of a brain left is getting in the octagon with a real UFC fighter.

 

Last one I remember trying was James Toney. That ended in the 1st when Randy Couture got him in an arm triangle. Credit to Tony though. He really tried to not tap.
