You got at least 4 nails per shingle? And rafter straps?

I don't know what any of that means, so in spirit with most of the voting public, I'll just say, "no, mine are even better than that"

If your shingles are all gone you had 2 nails per. If your roof is gone you didn't have rafter to top plate connections. If your roof goes stay away from the windward walls because those will fall down next. Not likely to happen with sub 150 MPH winds though.

What if the rafters stay and the shingles stay but the wood the shingles are properly nailed to flys away? :D

My roof has been solid since my house was built. It's blocked from most of the wind by the dude next door with the two story. Tactical house purchasing.

I'm gonna build my next home out of GTii shares. They don't do much, but they're consistent.

We had some insane winds up here the last few days, localized areas of 100+ and sub zero temps to go with it

Wasn't it like almost 70 in anchorage a couple days ago? You guys probably caught the front end of the storm that's hitting me now

Not quite that bad, it barely got to 70 this summer lol At my place we only got to maybe 35, and 45 at the MIL’s house. But now it’s back down to -10. And in between there we had the crazy winds

I’m looking at -20 before the windchill for work travel this week… but even -10 is shit.

Those little bits of flying snow kinda sting like sandpaper. It's just not comfortable for any exposed skin
