To keep or dump LINK. That is the question.

Things that worry me. SEC regulation. The fact I am barely at break-even after a year.

Things that make me want to keep it. In a chart or two.

Yep. They announce a new partnership at least once a week. The amount of growth the system is experiencing it pretty impressive. The fact that the value of the coin isn't following that same trajectory is super annoying. At some point LINKs value has to catch up with the underlying systems growth. I'm trying to figure out why it hasn't.

Look at LINKs oracle data as earnings. The token itself is the stock price. When earnings(growth) go up every quarter that stock price follows. This isn't happening right now with LINK. Growth is exponential but the token price is flat to down YoY. WTF is going on? Why the divergence?

RE GameStop, I live about 3 miles from their headquarters. A friend of mine is a masters degreed CPA, and worked there for years. He left for another job, and when I asked why, he only said he saw the writing on the wall. Whatever that means, I guess you can decide. I didn’t want to push him to disclose anything NDA.

 

It survived this downturn better than a lot of crypto, I’d really like to think it can make another run

I think I just figured it out. Dilution. LINKs supply has been increasing at almost the same rate as systems growth for the last 18 months. So the more servers that come online the more coins get issued. Current supply is 467,000,000. LINK is capped at 1,000,000,000. Using some math, looking at you @kairo, and assuming a relatively stable rate of growth that puts all tokens in supply by middle of 2024. Once that happens dilution will no longer be possible and the price should start to pair with growth. I'll link a chart that shows the supply and price trends.

The question is do I have the patience to wait for that. The answer is probably not. lol

Well went to Best Buy today to purchase and set up an install appt for the Prius to get a new 10” head unit. Walked in the store and saw this 27” pc open box marked down so had to grab it. Going from trading on an old 13” MacBook Pro that lags to this is going to be awesome. Just don’t know how I feel about windows. Haven’t used it since I was a kid. Apple everything in this house.

 

I was a Mac guy for years until they started being so anti-repair and favoring form over function.

Windows is fine these days, especially with WSL if you're doing any webdev, so you can just avoid using Terminal or PowerShell.

I'd just worry how serviceable that computer would be should you want to get more life out of it later on, being that it looks like an all-in-wonder unit.

you can just install windows for free and never activate it too lol. There are scripts to get rid of the annoying watermark

 

The point of Linux isn't that it's free. That's just an added bonus. They point is it's open-source, peer-reviewed and just plain better then Windows.
