First and only time I was ever banned was for politics. Been too long ago so honestly don’t know the exact words that were said. I do remember agreeing with the other guy that made a political statement next thing I know I can’t login to tw to even find out why I was banned. Some amount of days later I was able to login but no clue why I was banned. Messaged 2 different mods and neither would answer me so I moved on.

Sadly, I can’t help but wonder if me even saying this would get me banned but I still wonder how the system works for some and some it’s handled by a mod editing a persons post and possibly even taking time to privately message the guy as a first and only warning….

We're relatively fortunate that 98tacoma hangs out here and tries to keep the slip ups from people getting banned by editing/deleting content.

If he's not around and one of the other mods catches a random report...well, rip.

As such, people here are pretty good about warning others. Quite a few of us have taken time in the time-out corner.

 

We need more bans around here, gotta put the fear of God in you miscreants.

I think a warning where someone learns from their mistake trumps banning them and not letting them know why.

Whew. Thanks to all concerned. I like to live on the edge but banned after 9 days would have been a new record for me. I'll stick to the vehicle-related threads from now on.

 

You're fine here, there's just a very strict no politics rule on TW, and sometimes the investment thread gets a little close to the line

54M shares traded yesterday. 80.8M traded today. It ran well north of 20% before pulling back when the market pulled back after FOMC minutes. Are we talking about the same stock? lol
