Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

Imagine my surprise when I found out they weren't in St. Louis anymore.

 

Since I don't give two squirts of piss about the NFL or the superbowl, here's my evaluation on the marketing after watching the halftime/commercials several hours later:

Half time show: Pandered to people in their mid-late 30's and didn't provide anything of substance for entertainment.

Commercials: Bad. Really bad even by super bowl standards. Lot of companies wasted millions of dollars


Conclusion: I'm probably not the target audience for any of this anymore. Which is weird, because I'm at the point in my life when I have the most disposable income, and I still thought all the commercials were just piss poor.

 

GME moon and we'll all buy our own NFL teams. I think a good superbowl would be a competition on who can launch all of them and their billionaire owners into the sun the quickest. One and done. A superbowl for the ages.

That was my take away.

Lame lame lame. These marketing guys are really out of step. They can't do jack and be funny and catchy if all they focus on is woke and silly.

You know about the only half-way good commercial is a company making fun of their very own product. Amazon Alexa.

I was explaining this to the people at the party I was at. they were all celebrating the commercials as fantastic and really speaking to them. I told him that’s because they’re the only ones left in the world who watch television and are susceptible to advertising. Anyone under 25 isn’t watching TV ever. They don’t care about the Super Bowl they’re passively observing it as they stare at their phones. We look over at all the kids at the party and this is what is happening. The adults in their 30s and 40s are glued to the commercials because they’re full of all of the things that they remember… it was a member berries Super Bowl.

 

Not making this a regular. My kid does this one too so I tried it.

I'm 63 and don't have cable. All streaming. Never watch TV news or any of that BS. There is a solid chunk of us "younger boomers" who did not have fond memories of that stuff and certainly would not call the half time noise "music" of any sort.
