I am considering selling AAPL and TGT, which I’ve held for about 2 years, to build a deck for my house. It would be about $10k in free money but I don’t think I’d feel guilty!

Hold that TGT. She gon' make money after Christmas. The guilt -- well not really guilt. It's just so stupid that I could put $1k into an account, press some buttons on my phone, and then 3 weeks later have $4800. Obviously some research and a LOT of luck, but it still seems stupidly simple.

I mean, look at how good I was at it today!

I’m up like 115% on TGT, but you’re right, it was tempting at 50%, 75%, 100%, and it will be tempting at 150%. I doubt I’d do it, I’m building a dividend income vehicle so that’s not what I should be doing.

Edit: I see what you mean though, selling calls had made me about $75 in 2 weeks, and I did what you said, a little research and a few button clicks on my phone.

You doing the work yourself or hiring it out? Doing it yourself would save a ton of cash.

That's the beauty of the leverage options create. Down 25% one day. Up 50% two days later. lol

I got killed on PLTR today. I have 8 DEC 18 $25 calls. Had I known that Morgan Stanley was going to downgrade them to underweight from equal weight today I probably would have sold them yesterday. They'll come back up before the 18th but it was fun to watch that much money fly out of my portfolio that fast. lol

Hiring someone. I can do work, but this would be about 30’ across the back of the house, attached to the house, and 10’ out, with 2 staircases. That’s a little beyond what I can do. I planned to ask the contractors if I can help to knock off some of the price, but I doubt they’d allow that.

I bought more shares at $22. The floor from what I'm reading will likely be around $17. Citron and Stanley both shit on PLTR today. Shook all the loose leaves from the trees. The fact that ARKK was still buying multi-million dollar chunks on the way down is good enough for me. Cathie knows a helluva lot more than Andrew Left does (in my humble opinion)

BOIL just dove on some warmer weather news, did you get a buy in at low $22's? (I HOPE) - I tripled down, from 200 to 600 shares.

Hahahahhahaha - first of all my "fat cash" comment was about selling OOM puts on ABBV.

Fat cash on BOIL? Let's see how winter goes!

Also I hope 365 shares is a very tiny % of your investing funds. (like small fraction of a percent). I really don't advise people doing this sort of thing with retirement savings, or really a portion of money that can't go missing..............:D:eek::p

While waiting, get fat cash, look at selling 3 each Dec 18 $25 strike call contracts. Limits your upside but gives you fat cash (hahahaha) now.

Back in the green on PLTR. Loaded up on shares again after the consolidation. Calls starting to move in the right direction.

$250 fat cash! Nothing wrong with that at all. I was worried that you would lose $ on one of my nutso schemes and that bugged me.

Hahaha, I'm still in the red a bit, but I have my $1200+ from the call contracts. But as you note, popped this AM. I'm just going to hold, Dec 18 might call it away @ $25, or I buy to close/sell the long shares.

Finally got out of FNGR. Bought 100 shares at $7.90 and sold it today at $8.00. Man that was a lead balloon for the last 2 months or so.
Rolled it into 100 shares of BB. Blackberry just got a big deal with Amazon. It's got some climbing to do

Glad this thread is back ha. I flipped some American Airline options and Apple options for a quick 60 percent over this past week
