if you get labeled a pattern day trader, they require you to have a certain amount of $ in your account to continue day trades (20k maybe?, i can't remember)

I believe that's also free capital too. Not just a flat $25k. I.e. if you purchase a stock, the actual transaction takes a couple of days. So your account may say it is over $25k, but you could have less than $25k since the transaction hasn't officially gone through. That's my understanding of it, which could be wrong

Good point. I do have more than that in play but not in RH. RH is just for fun

PTD accounts are margin accounts. As soon as you sell you get the cash in your account. There's no waiting for T+2 like there is on normal accounts.

That’s the way I understand it.

 

They sent me something like 2 days later saying they needed further documentation for verification but when I went back in it just prompted me to do an esignature (which I had already done) and then it said it was under review again. If anything screams “identification verification” it’s a scribble with my finger on my phone screen that roughly resembles words

 

It's better than most pen pads I've used in stores.. I just scribble and get annoyed that my touchless NFC payment needs me to enter my SSN, first born legal name, Zipcode, email, etc

 

The colder it is outside, the more questions you have to answer before pumping gas.

I've been super aggressive the last 4 years and covid even more so. I had a return of 32% in 2020 in retirement accounts, and a 112% return in my play fund.

 

32% every year would be really nice lol
