ETFs vs Mutual Funds.

Really only depends what kind of account you are using. You can find the ETF equivalent of a mutual fund or Vice versa and in the end they give you the same result for the most part

Do you have specific questions? Most investments are available in both flavors.

For example, VTSAX and VTI are the exact same thing, with the latter being the ETF version.

ETFs tend to be a little more tax efficient. Mutual funds don't require full share purchases. Mutual funds trade at end-of-day price when you buy/sell, ETFs trade during market hours only via bid/ask.
