Annnd oil breaks $108. It’s powered through SPR releases. There’s nothing left in the jerrycan.

I think this is whats really fucking up the stock market, not rates.

Oil cost is a huge input for everything that's not tech (and even some tech, like Amazon's distro logistics). A 75 bps interest rate hike isn't shit, but oil skyrocketing is, as far as fundamental business valuation and earnings expectations.

Made a quick few $$ on SQQQ this morning. Literally a few dollars, testing out some new methods of trading, finding bottoms, minimizing risk. Seems to be going well so far. Once I get it figured out I'll go in with size to make better gains and compound my account. So far, so good...

I'm about as new at this as you can be. I haven't even started in options trading yet, but once I get my methods down and fully commit to how well it works, I'll start playing with options.

I was at the point where I had all sorts of indicators on my screen and thought they'd tell me all I needed to know, when really it was all just confusing me. I've got it down to four indicators, two of those being moving averages. Simple, effective, easier to nail bottom or damn close to it which allows me to reduce risk drastically.

I don't understand the greeks yet, but I'll get there. Retiring at 67 sounds horrible. Retiring at 50 sounds much, much better to me.

    Crazy. I'm doing just fine.

Good call on not worrying about options.

As far as indicators go. You want 200 day, 50 day, MACD and RSI. Everything else is just noise you got to filter out.

I'm using 9 day, 18 day, MACD and RSI.

So far it's been pretty spot on for how I've been trading. Easy to watch it ride the 9MA up, keep an eye on the RSI as it gets to overbought, but larger time frames, 15min/1hr still showing upward pressure I'll stay in it longer. Taking entries off the MACD and bottomed RSI.

I'll take a peek at using the 200 and 50 MA vs how I've been doing it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I still get faked out sometimes, but not enough that I'm ending the trade red. That's a HUGE improvement over how the past year has been blindly chasing twitter calls and meme stocks. I don't pay attention to most of that anymore, I'm more interested in screening for my own stocks or playing those that have been good to me in the past.

:tinfoilhat: Something changed since last November. Aside from the outliers that get a boosted or hammered occasionally, doesn't it seem like everything is pretty much following the same pattern?:tinfoilhat:

I saw 10 different tickers today that followed each other almost to the candle. I would maybe even go so far as to say that the fed or the .gov has control of the algos trying to keep everything from blowing up.
