Remember when Amazon announced that it would buy Whole Foods shares for $X and then it very quickly started trading at $x+y? Yeah, that was crazy. And no clue why anyone would buy a stock for MORE than the buyout price. Since the market is so "unprecedented" right now, I could see some crazy things happen. You can almost guarantee that it will go up...at least a little. But I could also see news of the deal falling through and the price dropping...followed by "It's back on" and the price skyrocketing again.

Is it a skyrocket or a moon rocket? Either way, it has a better chance of taking off than GME. Don't get mad at my @kairo . I'm still holding 2 tickets to the moon in case you are right.

Now is the time to buy in. You sit on your hands until the market goes up and you miss the uptrend.

Out of curiosity, I looked at their options.

Webull lists a 2.5c as ITM when stock price is $1.00.

How? Calls are ITM when stock price is higher than strike price so to be ITM, the stock would need to be $2.501 or greater. Right??

Webull also wants me to execute an options chain to sell a covered call, to actually sell 100 shares at current stock price and at the same time buy a 2.5c. Isn't that backwards? If I sell a covered call, I keep my 100 shares and sell a 2.5c. I don't actually lose the shares until exercise date.

Why does this seem so backwards?

I wouldn't actually sell a covered call right now. The intention would be to buy it back when the call price drops and with the stock price hopefully at the bottom, I think that options would only increase from here.
