    To be honest, if Robinhood is using PFOF and I get free trades on TD because of competitive pricing? I'm all for it...
    I think as soon as PFOF goes away so does no fee trading.

    I just buy all my shit through computershare now.

    I pay $10/transaction and my shares cannot be lent, shorted, FTD'd, or otherwise. Pretty slick system.

    The only thing that's going to go away is all of the shit brokerages that use payment for order flow. All the major brokerages had free trading way before Robinhood or weebull. They still will.

    I think if we timeline mergers vs PFOF brokers it started with Schwab in 10/2019 and then spread.. (Scottrrade->ameritrade->Td ameritrade) Fidelity Etrade (2019) etc...they were charging for trades until fairly recently ~3 years?
    This was once the Robinhood business model of minimum fees/PFOF was getting big enough to make a dent
