No new framing this week. Instead I get to repair a condo that had a roof fail when I giant tree branch fell through it. It's been a PIA so far and will continue to be.

If the branch fell on the house, you have a 28' beam to work with. Half your job is already done, why are you complaining?

Wait a second here. These last seven pages I just read--- Mr Kairo, are you actually saying you think a share of GME stock, post-split mind you, will at some point be worth 6 figures per share?!!!!!!
    That settles it.
    The top's in folks.
    S&P 2250 here we come.

Yessir. I have well over a hundred grand into this play. And I've had over a hundred grand into it long before the market started to crash.

Oh, yah. You don't get to play on markets where you can actually make money on economic trends. That's not for the poors. That's big boy money only.

Hmph. Well, that's a lot of money. I guess if your retirement portfolio is in excess of $1M, $100K on a speculative stock you believe in is ok, albeit 10% is pushing it a little.

Honestly, I think I'd cut it in half, using a $1M portfolio. 5% tops.

It's always been my opinion that every person get a couple chances to make it in life if you're in the right place, at the right time, and have the wherewithal to understand what's going on. I saw 2008 coming and didn't have any money. I have money now and I'm seeing a better opportunity.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Index funds are fine if you wanna work for 40 years. I'm of the mindset that I'd like to keep eyes on emerging trends and go in heavy early on.

Well, that's true. I've never owned any for the most part. Traded them a gillion times over, but I wouldn't put one in a retirement account. They do have their place for most 'normal' people however.

All I can say there Mr Kairo, I would highly recommend not using margin to carry that position, because trust me, you're asking for trouble if you are. Emerging trends are great, but you can also wallpaper all of lower Manhattan with the worthless shares of companies long since forgotten that were on the cusp of an emerging trend. Fwiw.

I can certainly see why you cause such a stir here now, and a thread with 4000 pages.
    You go Kairo.
    YOLO

87(ish)% of my shares are owned in my name via the registrar. There's no margin because direct registration doesn't allow it. My name, my shares.

That's good. Hopefully your kids won't be helping you wallpaper their bedroom in a smaller house 5 years from now with those certificates.

I'd rather have a really nice sailboat than a kid. About 200 pages back we covered this lol

I'd love to paper one wall in my office with old certificates. I think it would look cool.

I have a bank account number below 1000 for a fledgling startup that got bought by BoA and went public. $.50 cost basis trading at $38 right now. Early always wins. :)

    Hmmm.
I bet they make a printer that can print blank wallpaper stock.
I'll have to look into that. Hundreds of old company stock certificate images on google.
    Thanks Kairo.
I might 'emerging trend' one of my walls with long gone emerging trend stocks.
The old railroad stocks look really cool.
I'll have to look at the auto companies too.

Hey, Ford was doing really good into November of last year until it wasn't. But they've got enough capital to wipe Tesla whenever they want to do so. Legacy business is perfectly happy watching emerging trends and then flexing their money to take market share.

If you picked the good ones, you wouldn't have to shame your wall with worthless certificates
