They basically had a lot of inventory on back order that all arrived at once and no way to sell it. This was the problem for most of retail America. It was a delay in the arrival of goods due to the whole Covid/unions/ports offloading/trains/trucks etc. Eventually the goods get to their destination but they’re way out of season or no longer desired. One of the old methods used to be to auction the goods to a secondary wholesaler but they stopped buying goods because the market was flooded with cheap secondary goods… Think about like TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. So target just said fuck it and sliced prices on everything to just try to get rid of the inventory at a loss and write it all off for this quarter.

My company is still running $7m a month in backorders for shipments overseas, but management keeps telling us everything is fine.

My company provides PPE equipment that basically every company in the US needs to operate safely.

All of our competitors? Months behind in backorders as well. How do I know this? Well, we're all friends because we've worked in the same fucking industries for 20 years now.

I don't know shit though. I just work in this world. I'm not an economonist that understands how inputs effect outputs. I should have gone to a better school.

Did I ever tell you guys the walmart story? This is a fucking Arkansas classic.

Early 2000 me and a buddy decide to do some climbing in Arkansas. Horse Pens 40(real name, you can't make this shit up) was first on the list. We get in and boulder then get shit faced drunk that night. Like camp chairs in the fire drunk.

Morning rolls around and neither of us are particularly motivated to climb until after lunch. Mostly do to epic hangovers. As we're standing around drinking coffee and Bailey's we realize why we are standing. We burned the damn chairs. A plan was made to correct that.

We hop in the car and head to the nearest town. As we drive around we figure we'd see a Wallmart. Nope. Nada. Since it's before Google Maps we stop by a 7-11. I go in to ask for directions to a Wallmart or some such. This is part of the conversation that followed.

Me, to the 300 lb lady working the register. "Do you happen to have a wallmart nearby?"

Her: "Walmart? Shoot no. We got us a SUPER Wallmart!!!."

The look of pride on her face was as good as any I have seen from people achieving long standing life's goals. To this day it is the funniest fucking thing I have ever heard in Arkansas.

    *sigh*

Target is where the upper poor/lower middle class people who can thumb their nose at walmart choose to shop. When they can't afford that, they default to walmart.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Walmart is reserved for those products that are needed now and cannot be purchased at another store. Our closests Targèt (see what I did there) is +40 miles east or +30 west. Walmart is 2 miles away.

    I hate Walmart.

    ...and it's a super Walmart

That's me o_O Except we don't buy thier meats or fresh produce, the quality sucks.

Wallymarts and HEB's is all we got in many small Texas towns, and over priced Dollar Generals.

Do it. I fully expected the fight to be for $1.50 tomorrow. I still do. Although a sudden rise in PM to $1.84 has me not wanting to go to work today. But, I decided I'm going to exercise those $1 calls tomorrow. Fuck the SHF's. See, Reddit, I do pay attention.

I’m guessing Walmart is hanging on the inventory. I know the one in my town had about 10 to 15 temporary trailers in the parking lot full of goods I believe I took a picture at some point because I couldn’t believe it. They must’ve determined it’s better to hang onto the inventory, rent trailers and occupy parking lot space.

2000 shares @ $1 will do wonders for my CB in the play account. Plus the FOMO is still going. So far PM it's got more volume then BBBY. So, yes, I need more shares.

BBIG. Colucci just released another 8K this morning. Last week. He claimed they only had fucking 30 million in operating cash. The AK released today said they paid $60 million or something for warrants. Once that guy gets fucking pulled it's game on. Shareholders meeting is Tuesday. Hoping the judge makes a decision before then

Nah. It did this shit last week too, and I'm playin with 100% house money.

I'd like BBIG to hit 2.72 so I can cash out 50% again and run that as a house money play as well.
