Too much bagging on @kairo and you're going to force my contrarian nature to defend him.
Please don't do that to me.

It's kinda fun having several thousand guaranteed winning lottery tickets and then watching everybody else shit on you for putting in the time to do the research while they continue to get their news and curated opinions from CNBC and Marketwatch.

If Einstein put dates on believing in relativity, do you think it would have caught on?

Dates are hype, spun by kids on reddit

Did the shorts close? No, they haven't

Will they have to close? Yes, they will

What events might force them to close? Stay tuned!

Is the .gov competent enough to keep kicking the can further out? (I almost had to laugh out loud typing that.) No, the can has been kicked just about as far as it can go.

Do Jpow and Gensler whisper sweet nothings into eachothers' ears at night?

Math says retail wins. Extraneous circumstances aside, the math proves that retail has an advantage over the hedge funds.

Feds still plan on increase interest rates...
I'm still waiting for a better buy in point.

Yes, and historically the S+P has never set a new bear market low after reclaiming 50% from one, which it did on this one mid-August.

    So...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can you explain this a little? The low of this bear market was on 6/17/2022 at 3,636.87.

Yes, and we touched 4300 in mid-August, a ~665 point increase after a 1182 point drop.

In the entire history of the SP500, once it has reclaimed 50% of a bear market drop, it has always returned to ATH/bull market before re-testing or going below that low.

In other words, history suggests once a 50% turnaround has occurred in a bear market, the bottom is in.

Ok I gotcha, I thought you meant it set a new bear market low in August, I wasn’t seeing that.

That’s well into mullet land the way I define it. It could be a lot better though, that’s for sure.
