Meanwhile I can't walk across a tall bridge without paralyzing fear lol

Drive over the bridge? Fine. Fly in airplane? Fine.

I used to climb with a guy who was acrophobic. He got into climbing to overcome it. It worked for him but it was funny as fuck watching him shaking on a ledge that you could park a tractor trailer on. lol

I used to never have a problem with it. As a kid, I was the one 100 feet up in the air in the pine tree hanging upside down by my legs. Learned how to climb, belay, and rappel in the boy scouts, but never got into it seriously. Sometime in the last 10 years or so I just all of a sudden developed the fear. It's weird.

Probably... Side bar: I almost got cruxed out the very first pitch up, hardly a pitch, like 100' up the couloir. It was wet, flakey, not even exposed at all, but a fall would still be like 30' and id have broken bones on this glacier...there was even a piton right where i couldnt climb past so i was sure i was in the right place. tried 3 variations, couldnt bring myself to pull through them. I told myself i didnt deserve to be there after failing at this gate keeper. I was 30 seconds from turning back and i looked into the little gulley next to it and there was this piece of webbing wrapped around a boulder, so you could kind of pull yourself up since it was too smooth to have hand holds, and shortly after that a solid rap point (the only injury the whole day was on the way back down that section, i had the rap too tight, i slipped off the rock, and swung right into it and smashed my arm. that section fucked me up and down). So im like "ok, im not the only one to have an issue there, i can get down it, lets keep going" and the rest of it turned out to be ever so slightly more confidence inducing.

It was on the icy ledge i finally had the though "i have too much shit i want to do in life to die up here" and thats when I knew i had to dial it back. I still finished the climb, and felt pretty good on that last upper section despite the added difficulty. But thats a head space that was hard to shake. Im very new to the alpine solo thing so that was also part of it, being in that head space in that environment for the first time.

Thats an awesome story, and as a paltry 5.9 lead sport climber, a 5.9 multi pitch solo you might as well be alex honnold, god damn. Being able to feel that "not right, not sure why" is a crazy skill that is only developed after years of the sport. Ive been back country skiing for a while now and i still dont quite have it, climbing less than that. So i know i need to be really cautious and honest with myself as i dont have that intuition.

Getting to "make up" a peak traverse like that, in all of its route finding complexities is just as rad as completing a challenging climb. Dont worry, your secret is safe with me lol

I'm sure you've all already seen it, but I really enjoyed "The Alpinist" on Netflix. That 20 something kid who free solo'd all over the place and ended up dying in WA? Alaska?

Face ripping green on the futes.

Things are getting interesting out there. The dollar is so strong it's beginning to majorly hurt other economies - real economies, economies you've heard of like Japan and Great Britain and Etc. Along with that, higher interest rates are increasing debt servicing costs for the Federal government to very difficult levels. That debt doesn't roll over to new rates immediately, but in the next 5 years, if rates remain above 3%, debt service will become a real problem in the national budget without tax increases or major entitlement spending limitations.

Not to mention the party in power is never appreciative of a downtrending economy during election season.

Fed v Political Pressure is going to be an interesting ball game to watch.

    That's normal.

There's fear of heights and then there's irrational fear of heights. Phobias are irrational. Like "I will not walk up the stairs in my own house" fears. Mr. Kairo up above getting spooked when looking over a ledge is completely rational, that's just self preservation.

I know GB, has the Yen gone down as well? The GBP went down "compared to the dollar", but also went down just in general.

Out of curiosity I looked at the Yen too:

Soooooo yeah, USD is hammer down.

Haha, who knows! I am selling off $1k or so this morning, going to set a limit sell at $2 hoping it rips up on open like it has been, especially since it is $1.91 premarket (up again after hours somehow).

The rest I don't know, I'm just watching... If the volume keeps up I feel it will creep back toward that 2.50 - 2.75 range, and I'll definitely take more profits if it moves north of 2.25, but I'm also going to hang onto at least a handful for the potential rocket... just been in it too long not too

You don't gotta... I think it rips up past $2 this morning in the first few minutes so I'm taking some profits there, but keeping a decent chunk too. So much consistent volume lately, they have me maybe believing again. And it is getting a lot more twitter attention the last two days.

up to $1.99 now, so you can safely take at $2... or $2.20... or maybe hold out for $2.50... haha

Unlikely. But we may have ridden the wrong horse into the ground. My remaining GTii is still set to sell at $10

All you had to do was forget about it for several months like me... now I'm back to watching the countdown to open, haha... Hoping I do have to exercise some warrants now, which I had counted as a loss a long time ago

I've probably got more warrants then most people have shares. It'll be OK. As far as BBIG. If it doesn't move WED after the court hearing I'm out.
