Lost me right here. Not a single person on the planet aside from a handful of people at the very tippy top of the major investment firms have any sort of clue how the algorithms work.

 

I’m pretty sure I have an algo following me around. It waits till I buy anything and then it shorts the shit out of it with fake shares

 

Which, to be fair, is pretty much correct. PFOF assures that all of your trades are not only front-ran, but are logged so that hedge funds can actively trade against you.

If you use any brokerage, you are the product. If you want to own your shares in your name, then I think you know the solution for that.

ATL Fed GDP now tool is estimating 3.1% and that sucker has a fantastic track record, which would really make the "technical recession" discussion interesting. Shortest recession ever?

I think things get much easier if people stop overthinking it, recognize COVID was a thing that happened with lots of unprecedented action, which means unprecedented lagging economic behaviors aren't a terribly surprising result.

I wonder if they’ll be a $100 $META call play today if it finds a bottom quickly enough after the open. It seems like if you have already reported your bad earnings you’re not getting any free help today… But if your earnings aren’t for the next few weeks they’re happy to pump you.

 

If $ROKU gets any pump today…even flat..based on the digital marketplace earnings issues $GOOG and $META tanked on…there has to be $$$ to be made on the 11/18 (monthly) $50 puts in the $500 ballpark with them scheduled to report earnings on November 2 you could even go with weekly puts but you have to watch out for low-volume contracts with a wild spread that make setting a stop loss very difficult.

 

Q3 GDP 2.6% beating 2.4% expected. Good sign. Supply chains improving.
