Well I spent four hours today trying to get the right rear drum off of my truck… It exceeds the capabilities of my toolbox. I definitely had the star wheel completely backed off. No success with the M8 1.25 bolts driven into the holes either the holes themselves were so rusted I don’t even know if they still have viable threads. Confirmed by the fact that when I put my tire back on and drove to the dog park I had to re-tension my right rear brake by backing up and slamming on the brakes. I had a lot of pedal travel until I did so. So I found a local shop that will install my parts I just have to pay labor. They use a 2012 Tacoma as their shop truck so I figured they oughta be able to do something. Fyi this is what 230,000 miles on the original drums looks like.
