Market was down but dinner was from heaven. Did my own version of the classic Tri tip sandwich.
Sautéed the thin slices in a jus and bbq sauce. Crushed a clove if garlic and put it in a frying pan with a scoop of Irish butter. Sopped up that with the fresh bread.
This was amazing.

I'm just gonna let those 10k shares do whatever. A few hundred % increase would be fine though. I'm kickin my wife out of the marriage, and if the market stays below levels I want to liquidate at, there's a realistic risk I'd have to go back to full time work for a couple years for my longer term financial good. And that's the kind of drastic life change I'm not a fan of.

So if 30k or so wants to materialize unbidden, I'd be fine with that.

Remember last November when I posted that I'd be less present because I had some heavy lifting to do on the family side?

That was a couple days after I hired my Investigator. My state has aggressive adultery laws and having evidence to protect yourself is huge. Well, he got it all. And then at the end of January I confronted her and told her she could be moved out in 48hr or Id be in court getting her evicted from the marital home for cause (One of those aforementioned aggressive adultery laws).

She moved out voluntarily.

So thats pretty much where things stand. Shes completely outmatched legally and financially, so this is going to go my way.
The only question is how much trouble she's going to cause herself before it does.

Thanks. Im in a very strong position to defend myself. Most of "our" money was in fact my separate property that came to the marriage with me and she can't touch. I can outspend her on attornies 50 to 1, so she WANTS to settle. I also have about triple her income earning power, so Illl be keeping the house. She certainly can't afford it on her own.

Other fun facts: In our state being able to prove adultery means:

- Unfaithful spouse cannot be awarded alimony by law.
- Unfaithful spouse cannot petition for faithful spouse to pay attorney's fees.
- Faithful spouse can sue the paramour for damages (and you had better believe I am gonna put that shitknuckle into bankruptcy).

And what will I focus all of these advantages toward most fiercely? Making sure my little girl lands in the best possible position at the end of this shitshow.

I dont know much of Louisianas laws around divorce/adultery, but my MIL just went through the same thing last year. Caught Ex-FIL going to a womans house for about an hour a day a couple times a week throughout the year. she had hard proof as well. They settled out of court by living separately for 6months. I dont think she can sue the other woman though, but even if she could i dont think she would.
