Holy shit balls. TYDE will start trading tomorrow as OCTO on a 50/1 RS adjusted basis. Best part? NEW FUCKING CUSIP!!

Nothing will come of it but in theory all existing shorts on TYDE need to close because of the new CUSIP.

 

Every RS coming right now all the subs are parroting the same thing. Looks like TYDE is first out of the gate, so I'm interested to see what happens. My guess is, like you said, nothing.

Isn't that what happened with MMLTP or whatever too? Changed CUSIP and then they just didn't do shit with the shorts?

You have to test it with the person not changing their habits, at all. Typical healthy weight loss range is 1-2lbs a week, a year is 52 weeks so in 17 months, pulling 50 lbs isn't outside the range of typical weight loss methods/models. But if you're taking some supplement with it, then they get to claim anything they want.

In fact the CDC says people who lose it gradually tend to keep it off better:

"When you’re trying to lose weight, it’s natural to want it to happen very quickly. But people with gradual and steady weight loss (about 1 to 2 pounds per week) are more likely to keep the weight off."

I found a few articles that are more respected than uncle jim's weight loss boutique, but less so than CDC/Mayo/WebMD/etc re: "is it safe to lose >2 lbs a week" and it seems that nobody is really saying it's BAD, but it seems to be everyone's on the 1-2lb/wk train overall.

You'd be really surprised how much is NOT common knowledge when it comes to weight loss/diets (and not just the colloquial use of "diet" meaning a caloric deficit, but also just a general term of what you eat overall).
