I've been going through and closing/opening credit cards lately, the last couple I've called they've tried a 0% APR promo, which honestly - if I dumped it into a savings account at 4% and just let it ride, might be worth it. :notsure: but mostly I've just been closing old/unused/not-worth-keeping-around accounts and whatnot.

    I only go to 100%

100% loss (i guess the real winners go past 100% loss)

All of the negative reviews said that. I guess they reformulated the mix.

My daughter messaged me today that the tree in the yard has finally fallen. I've been telling them to stay away from it… Dropped like the market.

It's a very old ash tree I'd be interested in counting the rings, but it's been eaten apart by carpenter ants, and the emerald ash borer. It never stood a chance.

I don't think I could've felled it better on purpose. It slid right in between everything. Just missed the screen porch gazebo.

A lot of the AMC holders got their cards AFTER the date they were to submit comments. Nice job there, court system.

At any rate, it doesn't change much. It was just for comments for or against the RS.

Tell your GF she has nice toes. Unless that's you. We won't judge either way

Ok, so this came to me in a dream last night. A highly regarded trading strategy that I can't see any downside to. So naturally it won't work. Problem is, I can't figure out why.

Take $400k (arbitrary number just for illustrative purposes). Put $200k into SPY and $200k into SQQQ

At the end of every trading day, carve off half of the percentage of gains, so you maintain and slowly grow the principle.

Day 1: SPY up .5%. You make $1,000. Take $500 for lunch money and leave $500 in.

Day 2: SQQQ up 3% (JPOW talked, woo!). You've got $6k. Take $3k and pay your mortage.

Day 3: SPY up 2% (Turns out we don't fear Jpow). Another $4k. Take $2k and fill up the truck with fuel

    How does this fall apart?

    Edit: Quick test

I believe at the close of each day there is a "service fee" shaved off the value of shares on both sides...reflected in the opening price the next day...I've looked at this Madoff principle before...

    Also the math doesn't work because a 5% drop of 100 is $95....and then a 5% gain isn't $100 again...It's 99.75...so you're always losing on the recovery...
