All that buildup of the north valleys probably didn’t help. Will be missed by all the locals. I enjoyed it when I lived out there.

Yah, it's a shame. I heard rumor they're gonna start building houses out North of the airport and that kinda put the death sentence on it.

What's the one in CA that had a bunch of....well-to-do....folks complain about the noise so they have to change their departure/landing routes so they aren't throttling up/down over their houses?

I heard a story of (when this was all starting to come to be a thing) a pilot getting on the PA and telling the passengers to be quiet for the rich people below

My favorite is Boise. People move into farm land and then complain that it's farms. I know it's happening all over the place, but it's a BIG thing in Boise with their recent population swarming.

Somebody walked away from an Nieuport 28 total landing gear failure this weekend at the Heritage museum airshow...Might be the last operating 28 aircraft in existence...and by "failure" he smashed his belly after a power failure...I wonder if he stalled (no carb on those planes) or the ole fuel line snapped...

Yeah that P47 and the B25 in particular was right next to my buddy's T6 Tinker Toy, four gold race wins.

The A10 Thunderbolt II legacy flight should have be done witt the P47, you know, Original Thunderbolt. I liked the Hornet Bearcat flight more.

Yes. His was on static, not racing, but yes friends. I've seen a lot over the years. Ironically my first ever Reno when I was 12, 1978, two T6s had a mid-air, both dead. Shitty bookends to an experience that shaped my life 20 year on a race team.
