Had some solar surveys done on our house and it's prime for up to 30 panels...
One of the companies w a PPA just agreed to waive the escalator fee (the rate you pay for the electricity from the panels increases 2.9% per year)
It was 0.225
So if we go with them we have a fixed cost for electricity for basically 1Kw per month @0.259 with fees etc is $279/mo
Present rates are very close to this and have exceeded this multiple times....
Original offer... This is the montly/yearly electricity cost locked...so in year 25 you're paying $508/mo $6,100 year and we were like "Umm...I don't think the market would support that price...there would be riots"

Now if they can install (lots of hoops to jump through...)
We would be fixed at $279/mo and we presently pay $380+ monthly...

 

Heads Up...Finally got my 1099 from Schwab from TD....Surprise...it's all fucked up...It's missing TONS of trades...

We're at about 140/mo electric and 110/mo Nat Gas. Heat and hot water are on nat gas. National grid (or whoever we are now) level loads it so it's the same every month.

Same. FSKAX is a total market fund, not an SP500 fund, but it's ER is .015%, one of the lowest. FZROX is 0%, same idea. I use FSKAX for everything.

Oh, you REALLY gonna make someone else a lot of money.

It's worth it to look at a Fidelity or Vanguard account to buy into FSKAX/FXAIX or VTSAX/VFAIX. However, you can buy shares of VTSAX as an ETF under $VTI - I own a bunch of those before I moved to Fidelity.

Flip a coin - I use fidelity because my retirement was there, so it was easier to expand from that. And I have the Fidelity Visa, decent credit card.



Vanguard vs Fidelity. 10k over 12 or so years (this only goes back to when they were both around). The difference is 102$ on the scale of 46k. 0.22% difference. If you had 10 million, the difference would be 22 grand. So, really, flip a coin, whichever has a prettier website in your eyes and you're good

But on RH, you can buy VTSAX as VTI, the ER is .03%. The mutual fund VTSAX is .04% ER.

FSKAX (Fidelity total market counterpart to VTSAX) is .015% ER. Those two are what's compared above. Really, you can't go wrong, just pick one (or both, who cares!). DCA into whatever you choose matters WAY more than which one you choose.

 

I also have my 403 there so that makes sense. I opened a ROTH with robin hood but might see if I can transfer that over

I was looking at the $90P for tomorrow it was $500....

 

My only fear right now with $NVDA earnings is it will just hover at $730ish all week eating up $$$ with decay...
