Couple quick notes, since I think you might have been out sick that day in options 101:

1. Buying puts is a long position.
2. You can short it if you have the balls.

 

The reddit DD that sparked or contemporaneously described the koss situation said there are no mm options on koss as part of why it could fly. haven't checked if it was correct, but i think that is the mention of no options above.

i've been doing this a long time, have a discord where people pay $79 per month to follow my trades and 4 other analysts/ traders.
PnL on the room a couple of weeks ago, room never had a negative week "yet" knock on wood.

shorting has nothing to do with having balls. it's understanding technicals (market internals, PA etc) and human psychology (where will traders place their stops, where will traders take profits, psychological numbers, etc).


june 28 friday, $SPX gapped up and run up from open to 10:15am, run 45 points in less than 1hr.
i called it in the room that the run up is not supported by market internals.
on top of that i also had a fibonacci timing for high on the 120m chart.

market died the whole day. shorted this move.
