I might have picked up 20 RIOT $11 NOV 15 calls at open. 70% in an hour is not bad. It'll get better though. Lol

Just sold 8 of the 20 for a 3% gain. The other 12 are free money. And it's almost always a good time to be holding NVDA calls. lol

Using today to make any sort of data driven decision in the market is like using the Hindenburg disaster to decide you're never going to eat a taco.

Teaching math to a college kid. And @TreeFortRichard apparently. lol

    Bought at $0.56.

    $0.56 x 100 = $56

    $56 x 20 = $1120 total invested.

Sold at $1.44 6 hours later.

    $1.44 x 100 = $144

    $144 x 8 = $1152

    1152 / 1120 = 1.0285

Now you see I still have 12 calls. My initial capital plus 2.85% is safe and sound.

Ah, that didn't seem clear in your post. It looked like you had $57.83x8=$488 1.03% you make $14.64

we need our english major to verify that the way it was worded, the 3% wasn't specified as total gain. I interpreted as 3% gain per contract on the ones you sold cus I don't pay attention to RIOT's ticker or contracts.

I expected larger from MSTR given the randomness earlier in the month.

I bought 2 PYPL calls yesterday. Appears COIN was the correct transaction system to buy.. my shares still caught the bump at least?

I’ve tightened my trailing stop to 15% ish cus I’m happy where it’s at right now. Won’t be upset if it goes down 20% then I miss on an extra 60%

I think the volatility of earnings might keep more value in calls over the next 2 weeks...
Move is probably to sell just before earnings and then gamble a little of the profits on leaps...
OR buy a couple $170 11/22 calls right now for $100-120....on the chance it taps $175 buy then...OR just to capture more volatility cash

Which GAS powerplant 1500/2500 do I want if I'm going to buy my parents' travel trailer? 20' trailer, figure maybe 8k lbs wet

Budget: About $45k and I'm keeping the taco. I've traded in too many vehicles that I've regretted letting go.

    My short list is:

    2020+ F150 3.5 ecoboost
    2021+ F250 6.8
    2020+ F350 7.3 gozirra
    2017+ RAM 1500 5.7
    2017+ RAM 2500 6.4

No GM products, I won't buy one on general principle. I also really don't want a RAM now that they're owned by stellantis, but I really liked my '11 '1500.

    "You should get a diesel!"
    I don't want a diesel

    "But get a dies.."

    NO FUCKING DIESEL

Also, no Tundra. They're outdated, get worse mileage with their 5.7 vs the RAM, and way overpriced relative to the competition in the same year group.

if you're considering the 3.5 eco boost you may as well consider the 3.5 tundra. its the same turbo i believe and you'll have more value long term with the tundra.

but if those are your absolute only considerations then id go with the 6.8

My vote would be this. That 3.5 has been great.

only concern is the towing capacity if it's 8k wet. If it's a time or two here and there, fine. If it's like, every weekend for 200 miles each way+, then you might want something a bit more than that. But if the F150 can handle it, I'd stay with that size. Getting bigger is just asking for heavier maintenance bills (literally, heavier), and the 3.5 has been a great engine for a lot of people. If I was getting a new truck today I'd be looking at the 2.7 or 3.5 depending what I wanted to tow, but really wanting the 3.3 NA V6 they killed off for 2024 (2023?).

    Yeah.
If keeping the Taco and mainly buying it to pull that trailer, of the choices you listed I would do the F250.
