I used that run up to exit all but 2 $NVDA calls at basically even...this run was supposed to be LAST week...
I think they are sowing FUD seeds with this data center heat talk...that might cause an earnings response to be tamped...

LEFT $$ exiting today, but couldn't risk vs reward. If it dipped right back down to $140 my $145s would be worthless. I got out for $550...and they're tapping $625. At $146 they have $400 of time value a day before earnings. It needs to be $149 after earnings to achieve that.
I had a $150 earnings target....I might rebuy if there's a dip.
If it drops after earnings I'm definitely going to buy for a bounce and move those to 3+ month In the money long calls.

 

alls I knows is the company i work for is still buying NVDA ai chips and we have more customers requesting them than we can supply

 

I made enough on my PYPL DKNG and previous NVDA calls in my non roth acc that got me to have over 7.5 k cash ready for jan 1 to move into my roth. And the 20% loss on that one just offsets some gains for tax purposes oh well

Two guys I like in a tax free are $RITM (10% dividend) and $CMRE dividend (but it's really high right now. I own at $7)

 

The circled few tickers are my only non boomer holdings in my Roth. Those make up only 20% total of my roth. Im heavy on the boomer shit in that acc lol. and I'm about to be stopped out of SHOP with 90% gains in less than 6 months so thats neat

$NVDA today is a classic example of why I like to ride up to earnings and get out. They beat...across the board...so that means they trade sideways...There really was no scenario that would have sent this to the moon....There were only chances for it to crash. Congrats if your $138 buy filled after hours...Sorry if you got stopped out...
The "66% chance you lose" on calls. IF it goes down or sideways you lose.
Re-investing in calls at the open if it stays down...
Probably be $146 by open tomorrow.

saw only one guy on stock twits make a coherent realization that all the normies dont take into account. he said just because it beat earnings/EPS it doesnt just automatically mean the price should rocket. the margin of beat has to correlate to and justify the PE ratio for the price to keep moving up.

 

and it's really only guidance combined with a surprise.
$NVDA is up right on pace... May earnings trading $105....August +$20 to $125 and then a big sell off (played calls out of this valley) and now +$20 to $145 today for earnings...I expect a sell off and then call time...

 

I missed my opportunity to close my calls today. Had a sell limit set for .7 on the $170 11/22 and it got only went to .68

 

Don't worry....you've got all day tomorrow to regret that, and then also friday!.

At market open tomorrow we get to see all the implied volatility of earnings vaporize and stuff that was going for $300-500 a contract is 0.01.
Millions of dollars just on the Call side...
