I don't think it's over at all. I truly believe this whole thing is about a weaker US dollar. Bessent and other trade advisors have written about it for years.

 

Oh no, they definitely aren’t eating anything that cuts their profits.

What I mean is, if it’s drug out and people are used to seeing something sell for x dollars and now it cost xx dollars they might scale back on spending. All of its speculation though at this point.

Gotcha. Your most likely correct that consumer spending and consumer confidence will both take a hit. What will also happen is that big business will adjust guidance. Then analysts will "revise" their price targets and earnings estimates. Then the media outlets will tout that far and wide and forget the OG predictions ever existed. lol

 

I doubt it lasts long. A blip until the next hyperbole story gets released.

 

Fundamentals?

 

There's one fundamental that trumps all others on Wall St. Profit. As long as that's there who cares what P/E says.

My philosophy has always been to never take money out of a down market. It's only a loss on paper.
If money is taken out on a down market, then the money/loss is locked in.
If the money is left alone on a down market. When the market recovers, and it will. Then the money is recovered and there was no loss.
