So I have the TCL 4K UHD roku tv in the livingroom and a the roku Ultra in the bedroom.
We basically get Fios TV for free because of the 1GIG fiber discount...But the roku with plex replaced my HTPC...and I'll never look back.
    6TB+ home media server ;)

and I love the 24x7 MST3K channel on Roku

We stocked up on AppleTV4K boxes back when AT&T DirectTVNOW was giving them away with prepaying three or four months service.

Ditched cable TV when we got gigabit fiber from AT&T. Currently on YouTubeTV vs AT&T's streaming service. None of the per-outlet or box rental BS, and no more local franchise fees, regional sports fees, yada yada yada. Flat fee, no sales tax on the service.

People still pay for dish and cable? Didn't know that was even a thing. I have plenty of stuff to keep me entertained on Youtube, Netflix, and Sports apps. I pay for internet and that's it.

Same. Youtube is mostly only thing that goes onto my TV which is just mostly in the winter time when outdoor activities are slowed down. Summer time paying for anything on TV would be a complete waste for me.

Of my three TVs, 2 are 'Smart' One is a Vizio and one is a LG. Both have limited streaming options available. The LG is better and has an app store that usually is up to date but it does not have HBO. The Vizio is very limited and the TV itself also has a bad connection somewhere in it's network setup. Neither with Wifi or hardwired connection will pull more than about 6mbps and you can't stream anything without it lagging. So that TV is connected to my Xbox One, which has access to everything, except AppleTV+. The other two TVs, including the LG, both have Roku sticks on them, which have everything on them. We don't have any sort of cable other than an antenna for over the air. We pay for Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+. I got a free year of Apple TV+ when I bought a new iPhone, 2 years ago and they keep extending the trial a month before it's supposed to run out. It's like they can sense me not renewing it. We have my Father-in-law's cable log-in so I use that for all the other apps (Showtime, HBO Max, all the sports channels, etc. etc.) and then we have a log-in for Netflix and Prime.

I haven't paid for cable since 2016 and I'll never go back.

ok now back to stonks :rocket:
