The wash sale rule kicked in on one of the shares I bought. Didn’t even realize it was less than 30 days ago lol

Never saw Fidelity, Schwab, or even Wells Fargo block buying with cash in the account.

 

No biggy...that's just the tax man's rules...You share price might be adjusted. It will actually help if you sold shares at a loss...

 

Wash sale ruined my average buy in yesterday. not sure what that is except I should've held long and I have a lot to learn.

I'm aware. I'm saying price wise of the shares it isn't a good thing.

 

Most of the shares i bought were at the $140 price but one share was something like $350. Weird how that is calculated but I understand

So one bit of strategy for accounts that won't let you set moonshot Limit sale prices anymore...you see before the fiasco I was able to set limit sell prices of $1000+ for $GME shares...Now I cannot...Same with fidelity...Because we must be morons if we're setting a sell price so high...We're not locking out our shares from being lent to shorts right

One trick is set a trailing stop with a MASSIVE $$ value which presently I believe is set as 50% of the share price for the limit...So set a trailing stop of $80 right now...as the stock goes up, increase the trailing stop $$ until you can set a sell at the moon...

OR don't do any of this and set price alerts...

With most brokers only allowing the 50% sell limits, If you don't want to sell at a certain price (Ex: 200 if it reaches that price, have your sell limit that you're happy with at whatever 50% would be ($200@50% =$300 for your sell limit)
