I was hoping it would hit $90 yesterday. Everything over that was a bonus. Patience, this is a war of attrition.

I have till 3/5. Probably would have been smart to take the ~10k off a $55 buy but you’re right. Hoping we get a giant run tomorrow

I could’ve cashed out for a $530 profit day trade but I ended -$35. This better be worth it haha

at work rn..but I'll give it a shot.
please know, this is just my humble opinion..and I'm not in finance, just a self studying student of monetary affairs and history..

    but..

    1. technicals: EVERYONE watches charts. EVERYONE. The bond charts, look at the futures on a monthly chart. the reversal was coming.

    2. Current economic environment: I'd say a % of the populace and of corporates have been 'refi'ing' every so often based on lower rates, so, you consolidate bills and refi for a lower monthly payment (based on lower interest rates) but now try to refi and consolidate at higher rates and that ship has sailed. Think of the 'extra' spending that could be done if folks had more cash at the end of the month, that all goes away with higher rates. And that's just residential. Corporates do the same (prob why the Fed is buying Corp bonds now..no smart money wants them) they're double screwed with higher roll costs plus less income for the consumer.

    3. Savers, and the debt mindset. Debt, is everything. If no debt was created, A LOT fewer of us would be alive. Metals have been getting a lot more attention the last couple years.

History is riddled with stories of currencies and public opinion. Imho, it's why crypto is so 'in your face' as that diverts cash from real money (gold/silver holds a value, based in a devalued currency so you basically stay even) but, if you lose that 'confidence' from the public, it's game over as EVERYTHING is about debt creation and thus payment back to the issuing entities (the banks, who are part of the printing press brigade). The banks get a cut, no matter what. If debt creation slides, and economics tighten, then you're at a bigger risk of not getting paid back at all, which changes the bond buyers' mindset..be it an large investment firm, or Joe 6'r...problem is, raising rates against the current environment, well, see #2.

We're trapped. Some will argue this, and there's a host of differing opinions. But history is history. it doesn't give two shits about opinions.

That's my take..albeit a VERY consolidated one..I could type for days on this subject but it's not an interesting one unless you're a monetary nerd like me.

Hope this helped at least a little. Bottom line, the debt servicing required for where we are cannot be sustained unless MORE debt is created as we have gamed everything we can and extracted its value (via its 'price) up the foodchain to the 1%
Slow down debt creation, either by tightened credit (higher rates) or simply by the public's attitude towards taking on debt in the first place, and you have contraction.

Contraction, erodes confidence of the consumer, which spreads to the corporate etc.. and the vicious spiral downwards continues. We've barely stepped off the curb into traffic at this point.

And even if you get a bond 'promising' a 6% yield over 10 years, when you get that currency back in 10 years, will it buy the same amount of goods/services it did 10 years prior?
Or will prices increase due to devaluation of currency, possibly returning a real 'negative' yield on your investment?

Deflation is great for the consumer, but death by a 1000 cuts as economies built on debt and in need of constant debt servicing cannot survive unless price increases afford extra margin to in turn pay higher costs of doing business. Inflation, at this point, is like going to bed with a time bomb. Either way, we got massive problems that are just now showing their true colors.

There will most likely be folks that will say I'm incorrect. No prob. I know where I stand, and the world and its actions are confirmation..not my opinion, as it means shit.

Off the soap box now.. hope you have a good evening. I'm going home to pour a tall one.
