I scrounged a thousand bucks out of the dark corners of my financial web for the Roblox IPO tomorrow. Direct listing, so hoping to get in on that at $45. I'll day trade it if it gets a good swing and then wait a few days for it to cool off.

This is my plan too, but Im doing $1800 in robinhood, and 800 in webull (im in the middle of a transition, but there are too many opportunities right now that I need to run them both till I can transfer) Robinhood I will day trade it on a swing, webull I will be holding.

IMO, I will make more from my $GME shares and options than anything $RBLX.

It's just looking so bullish, for soooo many reasons.

How does an IPO work exactly? Is there a set price it will be at the second it hits market? I've got a few hundred bucks from a test deposit to check if I finally got accounts linked to make deposits, so I'm thinking Have some fun with it. Or just average down CTXR/LIACF which honestly might be best since tomorrow I won't be able to be watching my account like a hawk.

Or as @TreeFortRichard had also mentioned a week or so back, Time to copy Cathie Wood and buy some TAK

This is a direct listing, so basically it just hits the market at whatever price they've valued it at, and then it's open to trade. Guestimates put it around $40-$50 at open.

Other IPOs let larger investors buy in early at a special discounted price, and then it's opened to the rest of the market.

There's also SPACS which bring companies public.

Lots to take in, but direct listing is the one that's good for us.

Im going to see if the tickers are there in the morning, then set up market buys for some and limit buys for more. I figure Ill get half at open, then set limit orders lower for the rush of early people selling off for a quick buck.

If the tickers are not there in the morning, then I will just be refreshing every minute till they show up.

Gotcha thanks. SPACs I somewhat like. I managed to get 240% on CCIV and sold off 2 days before it tanked back below 50. I'm also in BFT because they will merge with PSFE and I like the sound of Paysafe's long term plan. It honestly surprises me Roblox can have its own stock because I remember playing it when I was 8 and thought it was awful lol.
