I just happen to like the stock, and I think diversifying one stock across multiple brokerages is important lol

The amount of comments on that post about wanting to quit jobs and be rich on $GME. I don’t know if that’s motivating or depressing

 

Here's a good lesson in how the "market always balances"
Take (Based on current price)
$640 and buy 100 shares...
NOW sell the August $5 call for $330ish
and BUY the August $5 put for $170is.
WORST case the stock goes to the moon and you are called at $5 a share in august with a 330-170=160+500=$660 for your $640...BUT if it tanks, You get the $170 profit from the call (that you can buy back for $0.01 if it tanks) and then If it goes to $1 you're getting $400 from the put...Making $100 for your shares, $400 for the Put (resale when stock is $1) and the $170 for the Call...=$670..Almost the same amount you make if it goes up and your shares get called...

Those May $5 puts are printing once it's back under $4....

Smartest thing I’ve read on here all day

 

How old are you, and do you like your job? Cause I'm firmly in the camp of if I get rich, I'm going to bail the fuck out of the corporate world and do stuff to help humanity.

My daily life, for well over a decade has been waking up and looking at a phone or a laptop. Then spending breakfast looking at a phone or a laptop before I drive to the airport and get on a plane, where I look at a laptop on wifi 35k feet somewhere over the US. When I land I check my phone again. Then I make 5-10 in person sales calls in a day. Drive my rental car back to the hotel where I have my very cool status points, grab a meal at a restaurant within walking distance, or just eat at the hotel bar, and then get up and do it all over again for the next 3 days. Fly out Monday or Tuesday, and get home Friday evening. I burned almost all of my 20's and most of my early 30's doing this. Yah, I make enough that I don't get the stimmy checks, but I've had years where I've spent almost more time on the road than at home.

Ironically, the Coronavirus gave me one of my best years. Turns out, to the surprise of nobody, that I can do most of my business over phones and video calls. 2020 was a shit year for a lot of people, but honestly, it was one of the best working years I've ever had.

So yah. GME is motivating to me. I'm gonna bail out of the corporate world, open a dog rescue, and just enjoy the rest of my life.

 

I didn't even think of it that way! You're hired!

I'll buy some O2 concentrators so it feels like the indoor area has living plants.
