Oh...that's a better interpretation. But you need the $$ and the fee for executing them. My preference would be for it to start spiking, SELL shares and use that to exercise and then sell that for more $$...Not to pay for more shares of an as yet unsqueezed stock...

 

That's why I was reaching out, curious how people will be exercising warrants. Trying to figure out a game plan.

 

(it was mentioned earlier that ) warrants are essentially long term call options.
So starting from "on or around the 8th", every shareholder should be issued their warrants. If price is > $2.75 on that date, then your profit would be:
current price - ($2.75 + any exercise fee) = profit per share/warrant

you have 2 years for the price to get to $2.75+ so it's either a long term hold or try to profit from any squeeze that may occur.
The squeeze may occur prior to the issue of warrants tho?

Additionally, typically when a company is bought for X dollars per share, their share price tends to equilibrate to that price...so i wouldn't be surprised to see the long term 'floor' become 2.75 or head towards it.

Another point to consider is that if all these additional shares/warrants become available - that dilutes the share count (i.e. increase in supply) so it will act as a deflationary pressure on price.

I'd have to refer back to the warrant filing, but I seem to recall that the warrants won't be traded, so there won't be a separate market for those.
i.e. like NKLA had warrants (NKLAW) that were worth 11? 18? bucks, so the share and warrant price fluctuated in conjunction with that price built in at first.
In this case, i think, the warrants are essentially a certificate that permits you to convert to shares.

Poots may or may not work depending on volatility. One would think, if they truly believed we were about to have a broad market crash, shoring up cash to buy the dip might be the more prudent option.

I've been pondering my own strategy in the back of my mind lately.

 

yea...plus you need either to have 100 shares of the underlying stock (if you're trying to hedge your position) or buy more than 1.
it gives you the option to sell your shares at the strike price if it really tanks...or, you could just sell your put for profits if you anticipate a bounce back or temporary correction.

or sell your winners (or losers for tax loss harvesting), keep the cash on hand for sale prices.

all the while considering your cost basis, long/short term gains/taxable events, and short/medium/long term investment thesis (if you have one you damn dirty apes!)
