I think that's precisely what it is. Plus those funds are buying shares after hours on the "dark pool" (I think that's a dumb thing to call it, but I guess it is what it is) and then selling those shares during the day to create constant downward pressure.

But like you said, the monke just keep buying them up.

These guys had to have known for months that they're already screwed. Their egos just kicking the can down the road at this point, stalling for a miracle, and to get that last $200m in assets moved offshore.

There isn't enough liquidity on darkpools for them to acquire remotely enough shares to cover their shorts.

In fact it's likely that most of the volume on darkpools is from market makers providing "counterfeit" shares which they will ultimately be unable to deliver, causing their FTD problem to get worse.

They will have to cover eventually and they will cover by buying our shares from us.

I was reading this weekend that there was a stall on last years recall...It was set and then had a delay (That presumably allowed them to gather the 12 or so million shares they were missing) now this year that CANNOT work...there are not 12M shares available...LET alone 75M

Good management goes man. Chips are gonna be good too cause a lot of chips and semi conductor type stuff are still made here. At some point the U.S. is gonna have to decide what it wants to make still, which we've been seriously slacking on past couple decades. Lots of innovation and ideas still but that's been getting soaked up by rules and regs slowly but surely. Have any of you guys ever replaced a home garage door spring? Note: Don't do it, it's incredibly dangerous.

When you're putting the new spring on, and you've got your little bars in there and you're winding away, it's easy. You're making lots of turns for not much effort. Then the spring starts to tension, and it's a little harder to wind each time, so you're not getting as far with each pull because it takes a bunch more effort. That's the volume on GME. They've wound this spring so tight that they're using all of their muscle to get another quarter turn out of it. The minute it snaps, it's going to take out everything in its path.

 

Also the money for DFV ain't in selling. Sure it'd be a shit ton of money but then it only lasts as long as it lasts. Likely he'll hold out for a dividend and future split or two and basically collect a paycheck off his position that would add up to the same or more than selling right now in the long long long run. And oh wouldn't a dividend be timely soon enough

 

Rumor has it he may have exercised his calls today (or sold them, but I don't think that's likely). The open interest on the $12's was down to zero.
