Agree with you there. I also don't like column mounted shifters. Its got its place I know but not for me.

Probably just get a 4 door wrangler or one of those gladiator pickups and do a hemi swap and some one ton axles

 

I know it has been done before. But insane hours of fab work as far as I know.

If we all pool our GME money together, we can get a majority owership stake in Toyota and force them to come out with an access cab shortbed with solid axles and a diesel powerplant (or maybe a small gas v8)

 

I'd be fine with settling for more more powerful drivetrain options and disc brakes all around lol. Since so many Tacoma's are rolling around over weight anyway.
