What he ^^^ said. :) Indeed.

Haha I would probably be super down if I wasn't up in Tahoe right now hungover as hell(best friend's wedding).

They are what Rigid calls "Specter Driving" which is the best compromise between flood and spot beams.

The Triton V3's come with their own harness, control boxes, and adapters so that they will essentially plug right into your existing factory signal/DRL harness. No splicing or hacking up any factory wiring whatsoever...all plug and play.

    Haha thanks dude!

The D2's are mounted using the nifty hood hinge mounts made by Derek of Famous Fab aka "DWreck". You can find them here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/famous-fabrication/237474-hood-hinge-light-brackets-leds.html

Not really an update on my truck, but an update on my PREVIOUS truck---which I sold last year to my cousin. The build thread is in my sig. Anyway, he came up from SoCal to visit and stay for Memorial Day Weekend and brought the truck..........man I miss this thing!!!

Everything is still lookin awesome on it, like the day I sold it to him. He's only since added a pretty sweet sound system with an 8" woofer and the thing thumps hard. Kinda jealous actually lol. Nothing like the sound of the 3.4 5VZFE with headers and full exhaust, I miss it!!

Matt, off topic question: what are your thoughts on hub-centric wheels. I'm waiting to get a new set from SCS and they are hub-centric, but my Toyota dealer just said that they could not put a set of wheels on the truck that were not hub-centric. I don't know if it's just a Toyota thing or if the studs really aren't designed to handle the load w/o being on the hub. Soooo many more wheel options if you go non hub-centric.

If given a choice, I would definitely opt for a hub centric wheel over a non HC wheel.

The main reason: hub centricity it takes ANY mounting variables out of the picture----so *in theory* you don't have to worry about vibrations and premature wheel bearing failure due to imperfect mounting. [assuming you keep up with your tire balancing once in a while]

YESSS there are TONS of trucks that run non-hub centric wheels that do just fine, it's just not my choice.

When you start dipping into oversized tires, the potential bad problems only get amplified from there---and I prefer NOT having an 'imperfectly mounted wheel' be cause for vibrations and other problems down the road.

I don't even risk it personally, hub centric wheels are my preference. :)

The dealer is just maintaining their "C.Y.A." policy again, and it's really hard to fault them for doing so given the potential problems such an install could cause.
