The suspension in the sr5 is way too soft and bouncy for me. Hit the brakes and it nosedives. Turn and lots of bodyroll.
What kind of shocks are in a stock SR5?
What shocks would you put on to firm things up?

I think mine had Mitsubishi shocks.
I went with the OME 2" lift with the stiffer 888 struts, 90000 nitro shocks and 95 rear leaf pack. Firm but not hard and definitely handles way better than stock

Bilstein 5100 all around. I have had these shocks on several different trucks and they ride firm. Gets rid of the body roll and nose dives. If you want to make it even firmer, switch to an LT tire.

No pre purchase test drive huh?

Suggest going and driving a Sport and see if that works for you. If it does, look for a sport suspension take off from someone who has chosen to change that for some reason (lift, too firm, etc etc).

If you don't go that route, remember that shocks control springs, and springs are what holds the weight/sets the ride height. So a stiffer spring up front with the appropriate damper might be your target.

Rear leaves are all the same, only the shock changes between models.
