Stock Air Box Mod?

I'm interested as well when they go up for sale. Since I use the truck in "all" conditions I rather keep the closed design of the stock airbox. Just throw a higher flow filter and do this mod. Keep us posted when it goes up for sale. Group buy?

All the info from this thread is great, but I got jealous and impatient, and ordered the k&n kit. Can't wait to hear it!

 

There's really not much to see, the new inlet is sandwiched between the stock air box & the inner fender.
I can tell you the parts are high quality and the install is pretty easy.

Did you happen to get the dual exit?
I'm wondering if there's any fitment issues with the dual exit and mud flaps

 

Mine dumps right at the rear axle at th muffler itself

I'm sure we'll see some positive results problem is we need to find another rat willing to dyno.

 

It's not really any cutting. It's a 2.5" hole. If you end up changing intakes, it doesn't affect the truck negatively

I received a pm from dyno guy not long ago and he says 1 to 2 hp gain. I asked to see the sheet and he's yet to respond to my request.

In the mean time I'm looking for another dyno lab rat.
