Yes I installed mine last weekend. I have picks and will get them on here eventually. As the above poster mentioned, snapping the fins off is the way to go. I went a step further and scored them with a knife first so they broke just about clean off, sanded off the remainder and it was smooth as anything. Instead of a hole saw I used a hole punch, which ended up complicating things a bit as a 2 1/2" punch is more like a 3" saw bit. Had to use a 2" and reem the hole out a little to get the flange to slide in. Performance wise haven't noticed anything major but she does seem to be breathing easier, noise is maybe slightly louder. I'm glad I went forward with the product. I'll keep you updated on performance and gas mileage as time goes on.

one tank down since installation. Gas here is 10% ethanol for winter so mpg always falls off until they stop sellng winter blend. long story short - MPG increase from 21.5 to 23. No change in driving habits. Will report back at next fill-up.

I have a few kits left in black, red and blue and I'll be putting more together this week.

A Toyota dealer just purchased one dozen kits based on the results on this thread.

    Thanks guys!

I'm honestly not sure... what's the typical cost for 2 runs on the dyno?

Thought you might like to read some technical items that support the benefits of your mod. He takes pressure differential readings at various locations of the intake system and determines where improvements can be made. The last article shows that the free flowing drop in filters have no benefit over the OEM paper filters. Warning, do not click on these links if you do not like technical items.

Has anyone tested the air/fuel mixture after installing this? I understand this is a fuel injected engine, but the ECU can only adjust so far. Hopefully the increase in fuel mileage isnt from the engine running too lean?? Dont want to burn up anything up from it not getting enough fuel due to the increase in air flow.

Not trying to be a dick, i just wanted to know before i decide to purchase. Thank you!

My 5.7 Tundra is efi and I've had this kit on since 2007 with absolutely zero problems. I've passed every smog inspection since then also.

...and I still get better mpg, and hp from bottom to mid range.

    Thats good to hear!

Hopefully these "new" tacoma engines prove to be as bulletproof as the 5.7L in the Tundra

There are at least 20 kits installed on these new Tacoma's so keep your ears and eyes open.
