Does anyone have a sound clip of the difference in loudness with this kit on ? With a manual trans the extra noise would not be a problem for me but with an Auto , the shifting and noise would be a real problem .

I would definitely be down to try one of the intake tube kits if you were to make one.

@G Tek Fab , if you have any kits still available, I would like to get one. I ended up buying a TRD Intake and would like to add your mod with the intake. Please let me know.

After almost a year and no dyno results that's a list of emoticons that convey some of the reactions throughout this thread.

    Apparently not funny.

There are a lot of happy campers so far plus a Toyota dealership in Mississippi has been selling the kits for me also.

First off, if vehicle motors were marketed with the maximum hp capability at your foot well that would be a bit hard on the motor most likely decreasing its life span. If the motor wants and does intake more air the ECU adjusts itself to the added volume. I know this because the first person to install my Prototype kit for the 2nd gen tundra was a certified Toyota MDT (Master Diagnostic Technician). Back in 2007 when I came up with this mod on my own tundra he contacted me and agreed it made sense then suggested I produce a kit. These motors are also tuned down to accommodate EPA standards so there is definitely room for added HP.

I’m not going to argue about this I’m just letting everyone know how this was developed and why it was developed. Plus, over 2000 kits sold for the tundra with zero complaints. No warrantee issues and no smog inspection issues.

If anything the Tacoma version may do a bit better with 2.5” rather than the 2”. Maybe even try the Tundra 3” kit.

    Don’t hate peeps.
