Ok so after having this kit installed for nearly two months now I can say that it's definitely helped the truck with driveability. My mpg average went up approximately 1 mpg and the butt dyno tells me that I have a little more giddy up.

I don't have a dyno anywhere near me, so the perfectly calibrated butt dyno is what I have been relying on, therefore I don't have any quantifiable numbers to post.

I have this kit on my Tundra too and it definitely made a difference in the butt dyno and I think i got about .6mpg from doing this

It's the same guy that made them for the Tundra that is making these. He also makes door sill protectors for our trucks as well.

I have his door sills and love them. It's one of those mods that you didn't know you'd want until you got it installed.

Agreed. I was one of the prototype testers for the door sill protectors when I had my 2nd gen. I missed them when I traded my truck in so I got a second set from him. Great guy to work with and would recommend him to anyone.

Any word on production? Is the intake noise really loud like a CAI or is it just noticeable over stock? I'm interested.

It's barely more noticeable than stock. The one thing I did notice is that when the rpm gets to about 3k you hear a whistling noise from it, as if you can hear it pulling more air. As far as production goes, I think he may try to get a couple more guinea pigs to test the kit for fitment purposes before he starts mass producing them.

Ok fellas sorry I'm just getting around to join in this thread I've been dealing with my very tired 16 year old Jack Russell. :(

Anyway, yes Darren was my first 3rd Gen Tacoma SABM lab rat and he came back with some test data that may very well be worth producing a Kit so I'm now looking for two or three more lab rats with the same 3rd gen 3.5L motor. Once this configuration has been established we can move on to the other motors.

Lets start a list of interested people then I'll draw names with a raffle app.
