My cd player stopped working today, when it stopped it said error 3 on the display.
I was playing a cd, it stopped playing then switched to playing the radio.
I was listening to disk 2, now the disk 2 symbol flashes.
None of the buttons for the cd player do anything now.
I tried to eject the cds it just flashes eject on the display then switches to playing the radio without ejecting any cds.
Turning the truck off and on does nothing.
I searched error 3 on here and it says to eject then reload the cds ,but mine wont even eject anything.
It also wont switch to any of the other cds inside of it.
Its a stock cd player in a 2005 taco

I had that on a Toyota Tundra CD player, the dealer replaced the deck and sent my CD back to me about a month later. I got the same error on the replacement deck about 3 months later, bought a Alpine deck and got my CD back after a few minutes with a screwdriver….:headbang:

There should be some kind of manual or "emergency" eject similar to a computer's CD reader. Though this is just me assuming things and I probably sound like an ass and an idiot suggesting this idea. Hey it never hurts to mention it though!

Sorry no fix, the carriage is jammed. Google "toyota cd error 3" for a few home remedies to try
